Matthew is a member of LHD’s Insurance and Superannuation team.
He is an admitted lawyer of the NSW Supreme Court and graduated Law with Honours from UNSW. Matthew is a consultant writer for Wolters Kluwer and was an inaugural author of LexisNexis’ Practical Guidance for Total and Permanent Disablement Insurance Claims, published February 2019.
Having practiced in various areas, including: Insurance; Superannuation Fund establishment and Regulations; and Personal Injury, and previously worked for a major Australian insurer and superannuation providers, Matthew has since October 2014 worked exclusively in applicant claims for superannuation insurance benefits, such as Total and Permanent Disablement (TPD) and Income Protection (IP), and early withdrawal under Permanent Incapacity.
LHD Lawyers provides a broad range of legal services to their clients. In Matthew’s experience, firms which specialise in limited areas of practice are often unable to assist their clients should different legal issues arises, and Matthew believes it is important to be part of a firm which is able to support their client’s legal needs throughout their life.
