On behalf of the victims of MH17, LHD Lawyers have filed a compensation claim against Russian and president Vladimir Putin in the European Court of Human Rights.
The claim seeks $10 million in compensation per passenger. LHD's very own Jerry Skinner, a US aviation specialist lawyer is leading the case. Jerry Skinner has achieved similar payments from Libya in the past for the Lockerbie disaster in 1988.

LHD Lawyers Special Counsel Jerry Skinner will be attending the Joint International Taskforce (“JIT”) Criminal Investigative Report release in the Netherlands on Wednesday 28 October 2016. In addition to Jerry, a number of LHD’s clients will also attend.
Release of the JIT report will not only disclose the results of the criminal probe into the shooting down of MH 17. It will also provide the opportunity for us to meet people with knowledge of all aspects of the MH 17 tragedy who could provide assistance to LHD’s pursuit of Russian accountability in the European Court of Human Rights (“ECHR”).
Following the release of the JIT report, Jerry Skinner will sit on a panel discussion sponsored by the strategic policy organization, the Atlantic Council to discuss growing international concern with civil aviation being targeted by combatants and also being used as a vehicle for terrorism.
LHD continues to pursue all avenues available to bring justice to the families of MH 17 victims and to also use legal procedures to minimise the risk to make these terrible events less likely.
