Edessa commenced as a paralegal with LHD Lawyers in May 2020. Edessa graduated in 2019 from Western Sydney University and attained the Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice (GDLP) from the College of Law, Sydney in January 2020. Edessa is awaiting admission to the Supreme Court.
Edessa has experience working on a broad range of civil litigation, but predominantly in personal injury matters including Motor Vehicle Accident, Public Liability, Medical Negligence, and Workers Compensation.
Edessa decided to pursue law as she wanted to contribute to helping those who have suffered a consequence through no fault of their own, particularly where that consequence becomes debilitating to their lives or changes their lives altogether. Edessa can really empathise with somebody who has been treated unfairly and it bothers her to see it happening, so if she can do something to help redress the situation for them then that’s the goal. That’s a really general perspective. More specifically Edessa just has a strong personal interest in the broad subject area of personal injury law and her desire to help people who are going through a difficult time physically/financially/emotionally etc, combined with the interest in the subject area is what motivates her to get the work done to the best of her ability for the client. The opportunity to help a vulnerable person through and out of a tough time in their life is largely the motivation and the reward for her.
